Grassroots Glastonbury

Somerset Co-operative Services is sponsoring and helping to organise Grassroots, the first Social Enterprise Conference to be held in Glastonbury. It is hoped that this event will be the first of many, providing networking, trading and learning opportunities for existing social enterprises in Somerset, and a source of information and inspiration for anyone thinking about setting one up.

GRASSROOTS is growing social enterprises in Somerset, so if you are:

* an established social or co-operative enterprise
• a social entrepreneur
• a local authority officer
• a private sector business
• a community or voluntary group

then this FREE practical and inspirational event is not to be missed!

Come along to the first ever Conference and network with other social enterprises, get energised by the panel of experienced and inspirational speakers, enjoy the fun and grow your social enterprise contact circle.

GRASSROOTS aims to:
• raise awareness of potential of social enterprise to contribute to the rural economy, environment and community
• provide focused networking opportunities
• show how social enterprises can cut costs and be more sustainable by reducing carbon emissions

What’s happening?
• a panel of experienced and influential speakers: Max Comfort of Stroud Common Wealth, Julie Harris of COSMIC and RISE and Ed Mayo of Co-operatives UK
• interactive workshops
• stalls and displays by established social enterprises
• inspiring films about social enterprise achievements
• delicious local food
