A learning and skills consortium for third sector organisations in the South West is preparing to bid for a European Social Fund (ESF) contract. The consortium is appropriately cautious as to its prospects, and advises interested stakeholders to also be circumspect at this early stage.

Hugg frozen yoghurt celebrated their opening in Princesshay by breaking a record for the UK’s biggest group hug! 138 people hugged their way into the UK records at a grand opening event on Saturday 26th June. The UK record was set in 2009 at St Pancras Station, London with 122 people taking part and now Hugg in Exeter’s Princesshay shopping quarter hold the record!

We all know that conflict can be hurtful and destructive, and many of us avoid it for this very reason. But it is a natural part of our daily lives and we need ways of dealing with it constructively.
This course will help you look at what conflict is and examine your own reactions to it, as well as what other people might be thinking and feeling. From this you will look at the skills and processes that can be used when faced with conflict to make sure that its results are positive, whether at home or at work.
