Kent social enterprise, The Sunlight Trust, has developed an online petition to lobby for the national roll out of the Social Enterprise Mark and are encouraging others to sign-up. The Social Enterprise Mark is a label that tells customers that a product or service comes from a social enterprise.

Care Services Minister, Ivan Lewis announced the opening of the second round of the Department of Health (DH) Social Enterprise Investment Fund today. He also announced that this year, it would include a new element, the 'Innovation for Life Challenge Fund', developed in collaboration with the Social Enterprise Coalition. The Innovation for Life Challenge Fund will encourage Strategic Health Authorities (SHAs) and their partners to find collaborative solutions to health and social care needs through social enterprise

Mid-Devon Community Recycling (MDCR) have been awarded the South West Skills ‘Train to Gain Employer of the Year’ award for their ‘outstanding’ commitment to staff training and development. The award, presented by celebrity TV presenter Ben Fogle, is part of a nationwide Learning and Skills Council project to find the best regional employers.

Originally built 800 years ago as the main gateway into the city, The Bargate Monument, Southampton’s iconic building has held a number of important positions throughout its history. These include being the City’s guildhall and the police headquarters during WWII. It is now a contemporary art gallery and was the perfect setting for employee-owned graphic design co-operative Total Coverage to celebrate their 20th birthday.
