Our July 2009 BAN event will explore creative social enterprise solutions to the recession focusing on employee and community buy-outs. Case studies will be used to exemplify new developments in the South West region, and investigate why they are flourishing even in such adverse economic times. We will consider the importance and impact of community shares and how to effectively promote community investment offers.

We will be joined by leading figures in the sector: an expert on social enterprise community buy-outs from the Plunkett Foundation and Jim Brown a lead consultant to Co-operatives UK will provide an overview of the significance of community shares for the sector.
