News from SW: Up to 1000 Funding Available to Develop Leaders Skills to Take Your Organisation Forward

Its always been tough to be a leader of a third sector organisation and now is no exception with added pressures of increasing need and shrinking income.
Social Enterprise Works is offering to work alongside third sector leaders to develop skills, knowledge and strategies to lead your organisation through whatever strategic challenges and opportunities you face.

Social Enterprise Works (SEW) can do this through business support and mentoring for leaders and facilitated strategic and performance reviews for groups.

SEW's business support and mentoring establishes a relationship over time which helps you not only to implement changes and improvements for your organisation but also to acquire skills, tools, and confidence for the long term.

SEW's expert facilitation of strategic and performance reviews draws on dynamic participative approaches to get everybody involved in reviewing performance and strategy, achieving consensus and agreeing a clear way forward.

The Train to Gain programme funds informal leadership development grants up to 500 with a further 500 available on a match fund basis.

To qualify your organisation must have between 10-249 employees and/or board members. Other qualification criteria apply.

More details and contact info can be found here.

Action Learning Sets for Leaders starting May 09

Joining an Action Learning Set is a great way of enlisting support to tackle some of the complex issues that leaders of third sector organisations face.

Social Enterprise Works plan to offer action learning sets starting in May for which many organisations will be able to access the train to gain leadership and management funding. See further information here including an application form to be completed by 15th April.

Action learning sets are a very powerful tool for developing leadership skills and positively transforming the way you work for the benefit of your organisation.

They involve a small group of people employed in similar roles, working together over a period of six months to explore issues within their working environment in order to develop lasting solutions.
